Celebrations included, Mahi toi/creative crafts, Te Reo Maori Classes, Waiata/song, Maori Rongoa/Maori Medicine, Kai Hakarik/Hangi, Poi, Games, Weaving, Dream Bottles, whakatauki and loads more.

This week emphasised the possibilities when collaboration happens – the community working together to enhance opportunities.   We were intentional about promoting this as a by the people for the people celebration.   This highlighted existing strengths as people stepped outside their comfort zone to run and participate in activities, it was a week that promoted people and whanau being active and contributing members of their community, taking ownership of process – RECOVERY IN ACTION, it was a step up from anything that has happened before and something the community can be very proud of.
